The Vidar Local Search Platform or VLSP is currently the base for all Vidar Network websites. The VLSP takes advantages of the following open source projects:

The VLSP is capable of rendering geographical data using numerous third party display engines:

• Google Maps
• Yahoo Maps
• Microsoft Live Local

Version 2.0 of the VLSP consumes web services from a variety of new third party providers including:

• GeoFeed
• MSN
• TRYNT

In addition to the integration of new third party web services the VLSP also features an expanded local area database featuring:

• Enhanced/Updated Demographics
• New Local Professional Sports Teams Data
• New Official State Nicknames, Slogans, Mottos, etc Data
• New Telephone LATA, NPA and NXX Data

Rendering of data can be done using single map or multi-map displays (some platform specific limitations apply).
